Pulmonary hypertension COPD

Pulmonary Hypertension is a common complication of COPD and it is basically a rise of the pressure in the lung artery. This rise in lung artery pressure is caused by a heart weakness  coupled with the lungs reduced capacity to process oxygen.

It can be progressive in nature and can be treated and managed with prescription medications. Not everyone with COPD will get pulmonary hypertension. I hope I answered your question.
