Hi Balck41,

Well Advair is an effective inhaler that combines 2 drugs, the first a steroid and the second is referred to as a long acting beta agonist. The steroid component helps reduce the underlying inflamatory aspect of your condition and the second is to help dilate your breathing tubes in order to improve the oxygen flow to your lungs. These 2 functions may help reduce airway resistance.

It will take about 3 to 4 weeks before you can see the maximum benefit from this treatment and that's why your doctor would want ot check up on you in 2 months and not sooner. Rinse your mouth with warm water after each inhaler use and change your tooth brush once month. it's good you keep the rescue inhaler on you for emergencies.

If there is dust generation in the factory where you work then wear a protective mask to prevent offensive allergens from triggering breathing spasms.
