Dee, have you gotten your steam cleaner? Do you like it? I hope that you do, I love mine. No mops and buckets to lug around, no smelly cleaners, and it's so light. Please let me know what you think!

Lin..I finally ordered one and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. This one works on all types of flooring including carpet. Has a separate steamer for windows and lots of other things.

I got one of the Shark Steam Cleaners last year and love it. One nice thing is, you don't have to wait for the floor to dry. The floor dries almost as fast as you can clean it.

Have had a floor steam cleaner since last year and am very, very pleased with it. My entire home is terrazzo flooring, that is a lot of hard surface cleaning! LOL The steam cleaner makes light work of it without chemicals etc.

Being so pleased with the floor steam cleaner I purchased a steam cleaner that is hand-held and has several accessories for cleaning various hard surfaces (mirrors, counter tops, walls etc.) as well as an attachment for upholstery etc. Super results, easy to use.

Only thing I DON'T LIKE is that sometimes when using these cleaners the humidity rises and does effect my breathing. Have learned how to pace myself though so not a real concern or problem.

I'm glad you're pleased with it. I saw one in a book recently and was convinced that this was good. I haven't ordered it yet but as soon as the finances come, I'm gonna get it.

Pros

After a late-night infomercial, I decided to get a floor steam cleaner. Call me foolish … Surprise! That is one of the best purchases I've made in my life! I would mention the product manufacturer because I am not aware if all steam cleaners are the same and cannot comment on any other brand as I did not do any comparison shopping.

Not only did it come equipped with all of the necessary fabric covers that work on floors, walls, and more, but it also has a couple of different applicator heads that work particularly well in corners and for upholstery.

This steam cleaner is lightweight, easy to maneuver and use. There are no chemicals so the cost of getting surfaces steam-clean and sanitized is only the electricity and the cup of water from the sink faucet. Just as important, there are no chemical cleaner smells so for a COPDer, I have eliminated another source of irritation from my environment. The warranty was increased from 1 to 5 years which increased my confidence with that as well.

Cons

The only 'con' that I can think of is that it is a little hard to store due to the ergonomic shape of the handle - it doesn't fit easily on a hook in the utility room. Cost may be a factor, but once I figured out what I save from purchasing cleaning products, I believe that the steam cleaner will easily pay for itself within a year.
