The Respro Allergy mask has been developed with the hyper sensitive individual in mind. Chemical and particle sensitivity for some people can be completely debilitating, even the smallest concentration of a chemical can have a marked effect on one's well being. Particulates can trigger asthmatic conditions, preventing the enjoying of an activity or being in a particular environment. The chemicals and particles that induce these conditions are not rare, but found in everyday items in everyday environments. Cleaning agents, perfume, soap, paint, varnish, air fresheners, shaving cream, hand lotions, laundry products of all types, all contain common chemicals that can have an effect if you have a chemical sensitivity. Particulates such as pollen, plant spores, pet dander, moulds, cigarette smoke, house dust, and dust mite feces found in bed mattresses and linen can also have equally detrimental effects. These can also be found directly from the manufacturer at: The allergy site also has many other products that those of us with allergies can order when we can't find them locally in stores.

I may have to try this one, I use the FilterX mask it works really well for the first time in about 5 or 6 years I am able to mow the lawn because it protects me that well.

I have severe reactions to most chemicals and had become almost house-bound much of the time because of it. My older daughter has had this same problem and has had to wear a mask of this type for several years. She sent me to and I found the mask that I ordered. I got it a couple of days ago and tried it yesterday. I went to Wal-Mart just in time to have all the people coming in from church with all their different perfumes etc on and I did not have even 1 problem during the hour or so that my husband and I were there as I usually would. Even the candle and cleaner aisles were not a problem for the 1st time in many many years. :) It has one-way vents to allow heat, moisture and CO2 from my breathing to escape, but they do not allow scents in. All in all it was a wonderful outing that did not become a chore as most outings such as this had become the last several years, especially since finding out I have COPD and quit smoking and with not coating my lungs with all the stuff from cigarettes they had become even more sensitive to all the chemicals than they already were. I would highly recommend this mask to anyone with MCS &/or COPD who would like to be able to go out and enjoy life again.

It is a bit stiff around the nose due to the plastic strip that I can mold to help ensure a good fit and it did slide down my face a bit when I 1st tried it. All in all though I think that as I get more used to it I will be able to minimize or perhaps even eliminate these annoyances.
